Pyrography!
Everyone loves to burn things….. okay, maybe not everyone.
Did you ever have one of those wood burning kits when you were a kid? I did… and I haven’t used one since until a couple days ago. Here’s my first pyrography piece in over 15 years…check it out in the Illustrations/Artwork gallery!
Thanks to Pete for the inspiration.. I hope to get half as good as you are at this thing some day!

Happy New Year Modeling Fans!

I have had the absolute pleasure to have done modeling, makeup and hair for 3 fashion shows and 3 photoshoots with DUSK Queen-West clothing store over the past 3 months!
I will be posting photos from the shows and shoots, so stay tuned!

I gotta say, It was quite tricky doing hair and makeup for up to 10 models at a time then walking the runway with them! But I truly love the rush and how much fun it is when you have a fabulous team to work with! <3

Last year I had the opportunity to do SPFX makeup for a short film by Jackie English that was entered along with 400+ other entries to the Toronto Urban Film Festival 2011 (TUFF)….

…..and we won FIRST PLACE!!

Our silent short film will be displayed on the TTC platform TV’s for all to see!

Please take a minute to read the following necessary information before inquiring about getting a tattoo.

The Squid Inx Studio is a private, comfortable, safe and sterile studio environment, by appointment only.
Only FLAT RATES available. This means your tattoo will get done much faster which means less pain to endure! You can split the payment up into sessions if you have a large piece.

FEES:
Please book a consultation if you wish to have custom work : $20 for a up to 30 minute consultation**.
**You do not need an in person consultation if you are from out of town or already have an image ready to tattoo.

Artwork fees apply for custom work : $20+up (up to hourly rates for large back pieces, etc)

A deposit is required at the time of consultation to secure your first session – this is a non-refundable deposit if you’re a no-show or cancel/reschedule without a minimum of 7 days notice : $100*
*if you have the artwork complete and do not need to book a consultation, deposit is required by Interac Instant Email Money Transfer at any major bank website.
Sorry, Paypal is no longer accepted as they charge too many fees and there is a time delay in receiving payment.

Touch up policy : if you wish to have touch-ups on your tattoo due to my error (at my discretion) you MUST notify me via email within 30 days of receiving the tattoo. After 30 days, there is a $50 minimum for touch ups.

AS OF JULY 1ST 2010, THE NEW HST (13%) TAX KICKS IN. Expect an increase in your flat rate.

***Allergy Alert!
Please advise prior to your first session if you have any latex allergies, although I do use latex-free gloves.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: If you are currently taking any medication or pain killers, you must advise prior to your first session! If you fail to do so, and are on any blood thinners, you will have to re-book your session! You WILL lose your $100 deposit to make up for the lost time. SORRY, NO EXCEPTIONS. (This is for YOUR safety!)

If you wish to bring someone with you to your session, please ask first. Thank you!

When booking a consultation or appointment, in order to provide you with a proper quote, please provide your contact number, the measurement of the design you wish to get, if the image is already drawn, please provide a high-res jpeg image. As well as if you want it in black/grey or full colour, and the location of where you wish to have it tattooed. Your availability is also required to set up your first session or consultation.

NEW INCENTIVES PROGRAM :
For every client referred (that actually book and show up to their appointment), you will receive 5% off your next tattoo.
Therefore if you have referred two clients, you’ll get 10% off, 3 clients will get you 15% and so on (up to 50% off!). So start your referring!

***Gratuity is not mandatory but ALWAYS APPRECIATED!!! (Just like giving your hairdresser or bartender a tip, tattoo artists appreciate them too!)

Aftercare instructions are now posted online in the upper left hand of the screen under “Tattoo Aftercare”. Please read this thoroughly before and after getting a tattoo to ensure speedy & proper healing. Sorry, I will no longer be handing out aftercare printouts to be a bit more environmentally friendly!
